If you’re reading this guide, it’s likely because you’re either:
A) Looking into hiring Tiro Writing Studios for a content creation day and want to see what it’d be like!
OR
B) You already did hire Trio Writing Studios for a content creation day and I sent this to you to read for a breakdown of exactly what to expect.
Either way, you’re definitely in the right place.
Content is important. Insanely important actually.
If money is the oxygen of a business, content is the blood. (Gory… but roll with me for a second.)
You need money in order to maintain daily operations, pay employees, and generally keep your business afloat. Content ensures you actually have a business to keep afloat.
If we want to scale a relevant brand our audiences keep coming back to again and again, we need to create regular content that captures their attention, educates them on how we can help, and shows them exactly how to purchase.
We also have to keep a pulse on where they’re spending time so we can deliver consistent content to those specific platforms.
Implementing a content strategy is vital to scaling a business. In fact, can you think of a single, large corporation that isn’t regularly sharing content to connect with their audience?
(I can’t.)
And it’s true regardless of the industry. Bath & Body Works, Home Depot, Panera Bread, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Urban Outfitters all have multi-channel marketing strategies geared towards sharing relevant, interesting content with their audience in order to nurture relationships and encourage sales.
They’re posting on social media, sending out intricate email campaigns, and getting blog and media features.
If this sounds like a lot of work, that’s because it is. The amount of writing you have to do as a small business owner is enough to make even F. Scott Fitzgerald’s head spin.
It’s never ending.
But now there’s a metaphorical fast-forward button to get top-quality, optimized content in less than 24 hours– and it’s Trio’s Content Creation Days.
You choose whether you want the blogging or email marketing track and which pathway is best for you.
From there, we’ll develop or build on your strategic marketing plan by spending the day creating content.
Here’s a breakdown of absolutely everything you need to know about Trio’s content creation days.
Trio’s Content Creation Day is a full-day writing intensive where we’ll roll up our sleeves and spend the day creating content for your business. You’ll work 1:1 with me (Alli!) to craft blog posts or an email marketing campaign that’ll grow your audience, connect with buyers, and get aligned customers ready to purchase.
There are three different paths for content creation days. Each has a different end goal, so you’ll walk away with exactly the content you need.
Here are the 3:
Goal: To write blog content for the entire quarter. (Aka 3 blog posts, 1 for each month.)
What you get:
Goal: To get you started with email marketing! I’ll create a freebie that your audience can get in exchange for their email addresses. Then I’ll write your first four emails.
What you get:
Goal: To create a high-converting email marketing campaign that either welcomes and educates your audience on your brand or promotes a specific sale or offer.
What you get:
*Can be designed for a trio of (three) emails to be sent out each week or each month.
During your content creation day you get the undivided attention of a pro copy and content writer (Alli!) for an entire day. No more back-and-forth emails or waiting weeks for revisions. We work side by side to craft content that not only resonates with your audience but also drives tangible results– like more email opens, lower website bounce rates, and higher sales page conversions.
Plus, they are designed to give you a complete, simple content plan for the entire quarter, so you could book four and have a well-rounded, done-for-you marketing plan for the entire year.
Preparation: Unlike the VIP days I’m seeing everywhere where everything happens the day of, content creation days require preparation. Before your session, I’ve already mapped out a proposed email or blogging marketing plan for you and planned topics for each piece of content. Of course we’ll review and revise this if needed, but it’s proven to majorly increase the creative output from your day.
Guaranteed Deliverables: Most VIP days just guarantee you a certain amount of hours, but not specific deliverables. I guarantee deliverables with all content creation days. And on the off chance we don’t finish everything within the day, rest assured, I’ll wrap it up during after-hours.
During your content creation day, you’ll work 1:1 with me to develop content that speaks directly to your target audience and gets them to take action.
I live in North Carolina (EST time zone.) But I work with clients in all different time zones, so we can chat about finding a time that works best for you.
9-10am: Kick-off Call
We’ll hop on Zoom to review the blog or email marketing plan I’ve mapped out for you in preparation for your day. We’ll finalize topics for each piece of content and discuss where it fits in the larger scheme of your marketing strategy. I’ll walk you through your customized “Content Cycle” and we’ll chat about your brand voice, vibe, and values.
10am-Noon: Writing session
From there, I’ll begin writing your content! You’ll either take a break or spend this time getting me log-in info for your blog or email marketing platform, photos, or branding materials to incorporate in your blogs or emails.*
*You’ll also have the opportunity to send me login information, logos, brand colors & fonts, and desired topics ahead of time if you’d prefer.
12-12:30pm: Check-in (via Zoom or Marco Polo)
Review what I’ve written with me in real-time. For email marketing, this is usually the freebie or initial 3 emails. For blogging, this is often the first blog post and the outline for the second. We’ll discuss any feedback and edits and then you can take a break while I write.
12:30-2:30pm: Writing session
From there, I’ll make any necessary revisions. Then I’ll continue writing all of your content so we can get as much done during the day as possible. This is where I work on blog posts 2 and 3, or continue working on your email campaign.
2:30-2:45pm: Check-in (via Zoom or Marco Polo)
Another check-in where you’ll review what I’ve written and give me any feedback.
2:45-4/5pm: Final edits & file send
I’ll write for a final hour (or two!) and then send over all of your edited, polished files via Google Drive. This means 3 complete blog posts for the Blogging Content Creation Day, a Lead Magnet/freebie PDF and 4 emails for the Email Starter VIP Day, and 9 emails for the Email Sustainer VIP Day. You’ll also receive access to the marketing plan I’ve mapped out for you and your customized “Content Cycle”.
The timeline can be adjusted prior to your content creation day based on your schedule and time zone. I collaborate with clients all over the globe and want to make sure the experience is seamless for you.
During check-ins, we can connect over Zoom, or via a video app called Marco Polo. I recommend planning a chill day for yourself while I craft word magic—answer some emails, watch Netflix, do a face mask, generally live your best life.
I’ve got the content covered, but I will need you on standby for occasional feedback and revisions.
Book a free zoom call with me to make sure I’m the perfect writer for your business and that a content creation day is, in fact, exactly what you need. We’ll also be able to schedule the date that works best for you.
Sign your contract and send over your 50% deposit. The remaining 50% will be due the day of your content creation session.
I’ll send over an email with all the details (ironically including a link to this blog post!). It’ll include a specific list of things I’ll need from you during the day. Things like photos for your blog posts, log-in information for your email marketing platform, or color palette info to make sure everything I create looks cohesive.
It’s not required that you send me these things ahead of time, but it does help ensure your day runs more smoothly.
Head over to Zoom for your kick-off call. Caffeine encouraged. From there we’ll follow the schedule (outlined above) to get you killer content in one day flat.
I’ll write everything and check back in for revisions and feedback throughout our time together. You’ll end the day with completed and optimized blog posts or a polished email campaign.
